Olmsted County Fairgrounds in Rochester, MN.
The cache container is a small black container hidden near one of the buildings on the Olmsted County Fairgrounds. Please be aware that the Olmsted County Fair runs for a full week ending on the Sunday of the first full weekend in August. For example: 2006 County Fair will run July 31st through Sunday August 6th. If you want, stop by during the County Fair and test your skills at stealth you are more than welcome. There are many other events at these fairgrounds, but this would be one of the most attended events if you want to avoid the crowds. Please be aware that an admission price may or may not be required depending on when you try to find this cache due to the fairground’s use through out the year.
The area around the fairgrounds is known as the Graham Arena Complex. This area is operated by the Rochester Park & Recreation Department and is used for a variety of events (Goldrush, sporting events, trade shows…) depending upon the time of year, so do your homework if you want to absolutely avoid any crowds.
Please bring your own writing utensil, one was included in the original hide, but it is very small.
PS. For those Benchmark hunting, there is one (actually two) very near this location. In fact, you can easily verify the benchmark(s) from the cache location.
