Marko Ramius: Since there does not appear to have been any response to the logs posted to this cache page, I can only assume that the cache owner is either MIA or is not willing or able to perform normal maintenance on this listing. Accordingly, I am archiving the listing to remove it from search pages and to allow for new caches in this area. If you would like to correct the issues for this cache, you can either create a new cache page or send me an e-mail with the GCxxxx code for this cache listing and I will un-archive it and review it again.

Thank you for your understanding and for your contributions to Geocaching.

Geocache Description:

Feed some little critters, take in a super vista, maybe watch some military exercises.

Jenny and I always make it a point of stopping at this specific rest area on the southbound 5 between San Clemente and Oceanside to feed the largest and most domesticated population of ground squirrels we have ever come across, while taking in a wonderful panoramic view of the Pacific and once in awhile watching some military manuevers starring the folks at marine corps base camp pendleton.

Bring some nuts ( the squirrels eat them right from your hand, and climb all over you if you want them to do so) and a camera. Some times of the year the little guys are sleeping, but plenty of seagulls to feed if you want to!

a magnetized altoids container--we tried to place it on various traffic signs, but none are metallic, due to proximity to salty ocean. you'll need a writing implement, there are small trade items.

***YOU CAN ONLY ENTER THIS VIEWPOINT, REST AREA FROM THE SOUTHBOUND 5 FREEWAY SOUTH OF SAN CLEMENTE/SAN ONOFRE.
