Geocache Description:

A traditional cache hidden in an overlooked green space in Sheffield that is undergoing a transformation.

Lynwood Garden is a quiet and wooded area that provides a small oasis that many people don't know about. I walk past it everyday and only found out about it when Highland Fling spotted an article in the local paper.

The gardens and nearby pub were originally the home of Master Cutler Francis Newton in the nineteenth century and boast the world's only crozzle arch. Today the gardens are owned by Sheffield City Council and are protected by the Friends of Lynwood Gardens against any further development. The area contains an abundance of wild flowers and birds. You can find out more at: (visit link)

This is private land and permission has been granted to hide the cache. You are welcome to explore the woods but are requested to stick to the paths. Because of this the cache is hidden in an area on the edges of the garden so you don't have to leave the path. Derek, who maintains the gardens, knows that the cache is hidden and will probably be more than willing to give you a tour and explain the history of the place.

Reception is not good but the coordinates should take you to the general area where the cache is hidden. From there, best use the clue.
