By now you will know this is not a story about a dysfunctional rock star family, but one of a series of caches set in and around the quiet tranquil villages of Ogbourne St George, Ogbourne St Andrew and Ogbourne Maizey. This last location of Ogbourne Maizey is the most southerly of the three villages and the smallest.
To complete this cache simply combine the co ordinates you noted at “THE OGBOURNES (ST GEORGE)” and “THE OGBOURNES (ST ANDREW)”caches. You will be looking for a clip top type lunch box container wrapped in a cammo bag. Like the other two caches the final location can be reached by using public footpaths, by ways or rights of way.
The above co ordinates are for a suggested parking spot in the village.
However if you enjoy walking, this cache can quite easily be coupled with “THE OGBOURNES (ST ANDREW)” cache for a walk of approximately 3.5 miles. Leave the car parked at Ogbourne St Andrew Church and follow the footpaths and by ways south to Ogbourne Maizey. Now follow your GPSr along a wide by way to the final location. From here there are several routes back to Ogbourne St Andrew to make an enjoyable circular walk. It will become obvious, we promise, especially if you are equipped with an OS map!!
Good luck and we hope you enjoy walking around this glorious part of the Wiltshire countryside as much as we do.
