Kent Fen Land Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Lactodorum: Hi, this looks like the cache needs some TLC. Could the owner please undertake a maintenance visit to check it out and replace any damaged items. In the meantime I'm archiving it but I'll happily consider unarchiving it if/when it's sorted assuming it still meets the guidelines.

Thanks, Lactodorum

Geocache Description:

About 0.5 mile walk along the Otter Channel

The Rother Levels were once sea - they have been re-claimed since Roman times. There are hundreds of drainage channels across the Levels many running into the River Rother. This is one of the largest channels - named the Otter Channel - running north/south from Potman's Heath. Where there is a road bridge, weir and sluice gates to control water flow.

Nearby is Wittersham Road Station - where you can see live steam engines on the old Kent and Sussex Railway Line.
