Computer Cache #3 Mystery Cache

Pocatecni souradnice Vas privedou pred budovu, ve ktere ma obchodni zastoupeni ceska pobocka firmy Intel. Jsou tu ale jen obchodnici, vlastni firma sidli hodne daleko, a tak i tuto cache najdete uplne jinde (POZOR: zadnou cache na techto souradnicich nenajdete!!).

Firmu Intel zalozili v roce 1968 panove Gordon E. Moore a Robert Noyce. Puvodne se mela jmenovat "Moore Noyce", coz vsak velice pripominalo anglicka slova "more noise" (vice sumu), coz neni pro elektronickou firmu to prave jmeno . Pojmenovali ji tedy NM Electronics a po roce ji prejmenovali na INTegrated ELectronics a zkracene Intel.

Firma Intel se od zacatku zabyvala navrhem a vyrobou RAM pameti a microprocesoru, v roce 1971 uvedla prvni samostatny mikroprocesor na jedinem chipu - 4004. Firma stala u vzniku prvnich mikropocitacu a s nastupem IBM PC kompatibilnich pocitacu se stala svetovou jednickou ve vyrobe procesoru - byly to postupne 8080, 8086, 80286, 80386, 80486 a Pentium.

The above coordinates will bring you to a large building where the czech subsidiary of Intel corporation is located. The company itself is based far far away however, and so is the cache itself (ATTENTION: There is no cache here!!).

Intel was founded in 1968 by Gordon E. Moore and Robert Noyce. They wanted to name the company "Moore Noyce". So they used the name NM Electronics and after one year they renamed it to INTegrated ELectronics or Intel for short.

Intel's processors were behind the first microcomputers and with the great success of IBM compatible personal computers it became a world leader on this field - their key products were the processors 8080, 8086, 80286, 80386, 80486 and Pentium.
