Cache is located in a roadside park in St. Joe County, a short distance from the parking area. Tree cover may make it difficult to get a good GPS reading, and as the brush grows up later in the season it may get more difficult to reach.
Cache is a 3" diameter by 8" long cammo'd plastic container that is hidden in an unusual manner. It starts out with a log book and a couple of pencils and some of our sig cards and beads. There are also some nice (small) caribiners and some geo-toys for the youngsters. Olney Park is just a short distance North off M-60, East of Mendon, and just over the Olney Road Bridge. There is a picnic table and room for a few cars to park, and a nice view of the St. Joseph River and the Bridge.
Follow the trail near the St. Joe River a short distance to the area where the cache will be found. We had to really search to find a spot that wasn't full of Poison Ivy, but the area where the cache is located is free of the vine. If you are allergic or sensitive to the stuff, you will want to watch your step on the approach.
Cache replaces "Olney Outback Cache", which we have archived because we think it may have been located on private property, though we don't yet know for sure.
