Located in the Dismal Harmony Natural Area.
Park at the small gravel lot on Woodland Terrace, N40 48.331 W074 34.520. Woodland Terrace has a "Private Road" sign at the entrance. Please disregard this, you are allowed to drive and park at the trail head.

This is a four stage Multi-cache. The first stage is at the published coordinates.
The first three stages are micros, 35mm film containers. The final stage is a 30mm ammo can.
This cache was originally placed for the McKinley Mountaineers as an introduction to geocaching before it was published. The McKinley Mountaineers, a YMCA Adventure Guides group, recently adopted the Dismal Harmony trails for trail maintenance from the Morris County Park System. For us old-timers, Adventure Guides used to be called Indian Guides before the YMCA decided to go PC.
Along the way you will learn the Adventure Guides “Aims”. There is no bushwhacking needed. Round trip will be about 2.3 miles if you pick the correct trails to follow. The micros should be relatively easy to find, all within approximately 40 feet of trail junctions.
Dismal Harmony is named from the two brooks that run through the area.
There are many historic remains in the nature area.
In the past, Dismal Brook powered at least six mills. There are Ice House remains and an old Boy Scout camp.
