Easy access from I-95, Easy cache to locate, Extra effort (Difficulty:2) required to keep your Smiley!
Did you ever notice those roadside dedication and historical markers along your routes of normal travel? How often did you tell yourself "Self, we really need to stop and read that one of these days"? Well, here's your chance!
This cache is located at a dedication marker along a well-traveled local road with easy access for you travelers along I-95. There is a small container with a log and space to trade small items. (Congratulations to Straitfan for being FTF! 2 hours 26 minutes from publication to log!)
There is one request to keep your smiley: In your log, mention what you have done to help people similar to the "special friends" of the person memorialized. If such a mention is not edited into your log within 30 days of your find, your log will be deleted. (Ok, ALRs are no longer allowed, so I won't delete your log, but please do encourage others by sharing your activities).
The hint is no help whatsoever in locating the cache, but can provide some ways to retain your smiley.
Please be careful when parking, especially when approaching from the south! The marker is located at a bend in the road and sometimes the traffic moves at a brisk clip! Also, you don't want to do this barefoot unless you have tough enough feet to ignore sand spurs.
The cache is accessed on level terrain over loose sand. If you have any questions about accessibility, please drop me a note before (or after) searching for the cache, especially if you have trouble accessing the log!
