Best Pecan Sandies
-1/2 cup butter
-1/2 cup shortening
-1 cup sugar
1 ½ cups flour
-1/2 tsp. baking powder
-1/2 tsp. baking soda
-1/2 cup pecans
Cream butter and shortening. Gradually add sugar and cream again.
Mix dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Stir in nuts. Chill ½ hour.
Shape into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
Flatten balls to ½ inch thick with glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes.
