There is a wheelchair ramp a little to the East, so everyone can get to this cache. This is a very high muggle area, so be discreet.
Maintenance done 24 Jan 07. Coords checked and good to within 4m, using a Garmin ETrex. Logbook 2 has replaced original.
Welcome to Strollin on The Alphabet - D
Thanks to GeoScavenger for the idea with his Alphabet Soup caches.
This is the 1st set, of 5 micro caches in a series of 26 (except for one). Did you know that from Sidney to Victoria to Sooke, a map book sections out the areas into 26 - 28 pages. And on these pages are all of the roads, streets, avenues, etc that you can drive upon. Well my team has chosen 26 of those pages in which to hide caches. In each area, you will find one roadway chosen in the alphabet, where a micro has been hidden. Your task is to find all 26. But so that you do not just drive in a circuitous route, they will be released 5 per week, until all are out.
Now for an additional incentive to find these as they come out. Company Lumbo-Tire may not be as financially independent as other teams but we do have prizes for the top 3 cachers for this series.
First to Find (each cache) = 3 points, Second to Find = 2 points, and Third to Find = 1 point.
The top 3 cachers with the highest points at the end of the 26th micro will receive the following prizes. First Place wins a $25 Great Canadian Casino chip, Second Place wins a $10 chip, and Third Place wins a $5 chip.
Good luck to all, and here are the first 5.
