Roanoke I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Short walk. You'll probably know where it is while your still walking up to it.
I used to ride a bike by here about once a week and would often stop here for some shade and rest. I'd wander around looking at the old tombstones and think about the people that were buried here. I.O.O.F. is Independent Order of Oddfellows. There is an historical marker here. The oldest grave is late 1800's. Noticed some veterans from WWI and WWII. And a hanged horse thief. Also some very recent ones. No posted times. It looks like the chain is on the gate just because it won't latch, there is no lock. Enjoy and be respectful.
