Our multi-cache is designed to test your caching skills in all
their forms. Put on your game-face, it's time to see who has what
it takes!
This is a hike through some of the most beautiful land in the
valley and a chance to encounter nature in all it's glory. Abundant
wildlife awaits including deer, coyote, grouse and more. Unusual
formations of stone and caves abound. Trees of every sort are
stunted by the wind and cold, but refuse to yield to the elements.
Bring your camera, your field glasses and your skills (or a partner
with skills to spare!) for this multi on the mountain. Stage One:
Park at N41 32.161 W075 33.179 and proceed up the main trail into
the state game lands. The trail system will take you all the way to
the first stage coords. Hiking boots are recommended and
appropriate gear for the season is a must. Water and snacks would
be prudent as well. Obey all State Gameland rules and regulations
including wearing blaze orange during big game seasons. Do not
enter any caves and be careful of sliding/shifting stone. IMPORTANT
NOTE: Each stage has the next stage's name recorded. Each stage
with the exception of the STAGE THREE, that is. The STAGE FOUR name
is "The Ugly Duckling" and you'll know why when you find it (if
your powers of observation are acute). PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO
WHERE YOU FIND EACH STAGE AND REPLACE IT AS YOU FOUND IT. THREE
MAINTENANCE CHECKS HAVE FOUND 3 MOVED STAGES! Thank you. Fox &
the Hound are proud members of the Northeast Pennsylvania
Geocachers. Visit us at www.nepageocachers.com
