Sadly this is now just a typical sign cache. I’m still working toward getting my hands on something that will work at the original location.
Use this cache location and the dirt lot across the street to set yourself up for parking for the rest of the Famosa Slough caches.
UPDATE: 12/23/22. Cache located at very nearby sign. Since the old location was “modernized” we can’t place our same container. We are still looking for the right type to hide at original location.

Famosa Slough is a 37 acre wildlife preserve in the heart of the Midway District. Every second Saturday morning of the odd numbered months you will find people helping to keep it a nature & bird sanctuary. Come on by for a valuable community service opportunity or just enjoy the wonderful stroll and bird watching opportunities anytime of the year.

College Llama used to participate in the cleanup parties here as a teen and now does restoration work at another nature reserve in Santa Barbara!
This cache IS NOT located on school property – but at a nearby corner which is VERY busy around 8:50am and 3:45pm M-F. Plentiful parking except around the aforementioned times!
Stealth will be required but give this one a shot as this cache is in plain site.
BYOP - the container holds just the log. Please replace exactly as found and don’t be too hard on it.
