Geocache Description:

No Internet searches, no maths puzzles, just good old physical ingenuity required.

The coords will take you to a post beside a gate. Inside the post is the cache container. All you have to do is get it out and sign the log. Somewhere on the post is a useful item to help you achieve this.
This photo shows the cache container, the helpful item, and the post itself:

Now, I'd really like this to be kept in the spirit of TV's MacGyver, who always achieved his aims with ingenious use of the materials to hand. Sure, he could've had a backpack with all sorts of gadgets, but where's the fun in that?
To that end, please use only what's provided, any nearby items, and stuff you're carrying. Please don't go away and come back with some specialised kit; that's a luxury that Mac never had, and it's not the aim of this puzzle.

Now, we'd like the logs here to be really, really boring: just a simple "found it" or similar is fine. The log has a codeword that you can use to access a winners page at our webpage that you can use to boast to the other finders all about how you cracked it! (In fact, please consider it a condition of logging the cache to tell your story on that page.)

A favour to ask, too: please don't 'watch' this cache until you've found it. Someone might say too much in their log and we'd like a chance to delete it before you get a clue!

Find the codeword on the logbook and go to bearleft.mackereth.net
