huggy_d1: Seems it is time to make this one go away. The owner had granted permission years ago. Perhaps that permission has been revoked or is still in place. Rather than risk geocachers feeling out of place or actually being there without permission, it does seem prudent to archive this one.

Interesting location and view of the James nearby. Maybe there may be another way to resurrect this one some time, but for now, thank you to everyone who visited and to C.B. for helping with the much (and too often) needed cache mainteance.

Geocache Description:

Depending on the road you use to approach this cache, you may see a sign that says "Galts Mill Rd" / "Brightwells Mill Rd". Guess which you should take? Yep, the right one.

Do not go near the water. Built in 1813, this brick mill structure is owned by the propery owner uphill from the mill itself. They were kind enough to allow me to visit this mill. Please respect their property.

There is a lot of history at this one area so please take it in while retrieving and logging the cache. This spot has a great view. If someone uploads a good image, I will use it for the cache page. My attempts thus far on 3 trips have ended with utterly dull images that in no way reflect the calmness of the area.

Best parking had near the "End State Maintenance" signage just past the "Galts Mill" roadsign. Short walk from there.
