This cache is about 2.7 miles up one of my favorite trails, Twisp Pass Trail #432 on the Washington Green Trail Map #82 in the Chelan-Sawtooth Wilderness, on a very scenic rock outcropping. The elevation gain to Lunch Rock cache is 1137'.
To get to the Twisp Pass TH, in Twisp turn west on 2nd Avenue which is signed TWISP RIVER RECREATION AREA. Drive 25 miles straight down this road to the Twisp Pass TH (shared with the North Lake Tr) which is near the end of the road. Hiking up the trail toward Twisp Pass you'll come to a footlog river crossing in about 2 miles. Take the left trail, Twisp Pass Tr #432, and in less than .5 mi the trail will again level out with a neat and scenic rock outcropping on your left. While the signal isn't good at all times, sometimes even non-existent, once you're on this rock outcropping the signal will be quite good. The trail is obvious but has rocky spots and, at this time (mid-August), it's somewhat overgrown and brushy. The good news is that the "brushy" stuff often contains many delicious raspberries just now.

Once you've come this far you might want, if time allows and you're up to it, to continue the remaining 2.5 miles to Twisp Pass. We've been there several times, but sometimes, depending on conditions (ours mainly...pant, pant), this great rock outcropping is far enough to suit us and makes a great spot for lunch or a break before turning back.
