Hazelmere Dam and resort is a perfect location for those who love
water sports such as water-skiing, sailing, jet skiing, canoeing
and fishing. An area rich in birds, plants and smaller animal
species surrounds the dam.
Less than 30 minutes drive from Durban, Hazelmere Dam and resort is
a perfect location for those who love water sports. Hazelmere is
only 20 minutes from Umhloti beach.
Caravanning, camping and tented accomodation are available on
grassed shaded or open sites, with electricity and hot and cold
ablutions. A thatched lapa provides a communal recreation area with
facilities for cooking. The resort boasts two upmarket luxury
lodges, forest lodge and lakeside lodge. The former sleeps 6 whilst
the latter is a 4 sleeper and is situated on the water edge.
An entrance fee,about R 20.00 per person ( R15.00 after 13h00).
There a numerous braai and picnic sites available.
