Nice paved road most of the way, no problem with any type vehicle, not too far from the highway.
We were looking for places along (or around) hwy 299 to place some caches, and wondering why there weren’t more caches in the area. As we checked out almost every side road on our trip we realized why. It’s all private property!!! Just as we were about to give up all hope I spied a BLM campground sign, and I knew I would be able to find a good spot.
This cache is a nice break on a long drive, and if have a little extra time, bring a picnic lunch, and a fishing pole. Be sure to check out the nice view of the rapids before you get to the cache site. There are nice picnic tables beyond the cache site where you can dip your toes into the river. Restrooms in the area.
