Ever since I was a small child I've enjoyed walking in the forest, the peace and solitude are things that I never seem to get tired of, one of the things I love seeing the most are the large old trees, and thinking about all the things these trees have seen in their lifetimes is something I always seem to find myself doing while walking, my grandmother always called these trees monarchs. This cache resides in such an area. Located along the Bald Knob Trail this cache is one of 5 caches along this route. All of these caches are nicely done, and you cannot find a more beautiful area to spend the day in. The hike is moderate and although there is an elevation gain it is distributed fairly evenly throughout the route.
