The official family history records that Clan Riffster, enraged by the destruction of their Tartan at the hands of the traitorous Clan McMuggle, drew a hypothetical line in the sand, making their final stand here. Most historians argue against this line of reasoning, stating that Clan Riffster made no such noble stand, saying instead that, as they were fleeing the soldiers and bunnies, they became tired, and decided to take a nap, and were encircled by the McMuggle army. Either way, the battle raged for minutes, and Clan Riffster was practically wiped out. My great, great, great, etc, etc, grandsire, Angus Riffster, was a swaddling babe at the time of the battle, and was hidden in a barrel of Guinness by his father when the battle started.

The soldiers of Clan McMuggle took this barrel with them back to their King, as tribute, however, they left the Clan Riffster family treasure behind, claiming "It's not but a wee bit of toys in a bloody metal box." One of the King's servants heard belching coming from within the barrel, and opened it up, finding a very drunk baby Angus inside. This servant could not father children due to a rather unfortunate and unique childhood Caber tossing accident, and, thinking that Angus was an answer to his many prayers for children, took him home to his wife, lovingly raising him as their own son.

The servant later learned the truth about Angus' heritage, and how he came to be in a barrel of Guinness, however, he could not find a single survivor from Clan Riffster, so he opted to keep the truth from Angus until he was older. On Angus' 16th birthday, his adopted father broke down and told him the truth, that he was born a Riffster and raised a McMuggle. Angus held no grudge against the man he had always thought of as his Da, however, this revelation created in him a life quest to search for his true history and recover his family treasure.

Angus' quest was doomed to failure, primarily due to his love of Guinness and dislike of perspiration, being rather fearful of anything even remotely resembling work. Angus did however, discover a written history of the final conflict betwixt his adopted family and his biological family, learning that, after the final battle, The King ordered that all references to Clan Riffster be destroyed, so that no trace of their existence could ever be found. He went so far as to order the razing of Clan Riffster graveyards, in the hopes that the Riffster name would eventually fade from history.

In a rather covert attempt at courage, the few remaining Riffsters created a runic language to keep their history alive. Angus Riffster died drunk, broke and stinky, after overdosing on haggis, and was laid to rest in an unmarked grave. In honor of his tireless labors dedicated to restoring his families name, some unknown Riffster secretly planted a headstone at Angus' grave. The back of the tombtone was inscribed with the Riffster rune code, detailing the exact coordinates of the final battle between the Riffsters and the McMuggles. The Riffster family treasure can be found at these coordinates. Unfortunately, this tombstone, like all the other Riffster memorials, was eventually shattered by the McMuggles. The four sections of Angus’ tombstone were hidden in the four caches preceeding this one. Find the four sections, copy the runes, (leaving the tombstone sections in the cache for the next player), decrypt the runes, and find the Riffster family treasure!

Good luck!
