Geocache Description:

A short walk to an awesome water spot

In western North Carolina "Sliding Rock" usually means the Pisgah National Forest near Brevard. However, there is another "Sliding Rock" close to Cashiers. Take NC 107 south from Cashiers and turn right onto Whiteside Cove Road. After about three miles you will come to a few pull-offs (N 35° 04.443 W 083° 06.475). The cache is just off of the main path pretty near to the beach by the base of Sliding Rock. Since there is a very dense canopy you will not have great satellite coverage. (I took the cache coordinates with an accuracy of 69 feet!) If you find pink survey tape the cache should be 5-10 feet away.

You are looking for an Illini water bottle. After finding the cache I recommend spending some time in the water sliding down the rocks! Enjoy!!
