Geocache Description:

Long ago, workers laid stone upon stone to form the abutments that hold up this forgotten train trestle. The old Frisco freights thundered across it on their runs.

Now it's a part of the Old Frisco Trail, a walking/biking trail between Poteau and Wister, Oklahoma. Recently, some of the surrounding land has been cleared, making the forgotten trestle visible once again.

You are looking for a micro geocache at the old bridge, which has been converted from a train trestle to a walking path with handrails. It is quite nice.

Take a moment to enjoy this history of our area, stretch your legs, and imagine the old glory days of the railroad as you explore this area!
