We've been wanting to do this cache for months and finally got to it. An absolutely gorgeous spot for a cache. And a cheap shot for me to log a hard-to-get locationless.
Located on SGL, this cache meets my requirement to log GC5A04, thus the name. But I got lucky. It is such a lovely spot. You are looking for an ammo can among some fieldstone. There will be a nice big rock for you to stop, rest, sign the logbook, and make trades. As in all geocaching trade etiquette, please trade up or don't trade at all. If there is a TB in the cache, please trade with another TB. Also, please wear blaze orange during hunting season. We don't want to read about your demise in gc.com forums!
There is a lot of history (recent) regarding these SGL. I am just beginning to research it. It has to do with one of the biggest drug runners in history who owned this land until it was seized by the government. He tried and tried to fight it, even while in jail, but alas, he lost and now it is in the hands of the state. I am planning another cache in this area in a few months with the complete history.
