The Chippy Chipmunk
Cache
All my cache's I hide, tend to focus on the "family". this one is
no different. This cache is located in the area of Mitchell
Ballfield in Jackson Twp.
Access to the park can be made via Brazil Lane off of RT 271
or Adams Ave off of RT271. Park entrance is located at the end of
Rose Branch Street N40.23.857 /W078.50.432
This park provides fun for all ages. Two basketball courts, a
kids playground, pavilions and baseball fields all provide for a
good playground for all ages.
To find this cache enter the woods near the basketball courts.
Just follow the logging trail. You may need to go Around some
downed trees and some small mud puddles, but the path is very
visible in these areas, stick to the trail and TRUST YOUR
GPS and you will prevail!!.(here is a hint-if you cross a small
natural stream, your going the wrong way) There
is no need to bushwack or leave the trail except for the last 100
feet. The trail ends approximatly 100 feet away from the cache,
this is the hardest part.
From the cache hiding area you will have a fantastic photograph
opportunity of the view down below. In the fall, when the leaves
are changing colors the view is just amazing. Once the leaves have
all fallen, the Mineral Point Dam can also be seen down below to
the right.
You will be looking for a camo container, stocked to the limit
with all kinds of goodies,. Please hide the container as good , if
not better than you found it.
Please abide by all park rules
This is a heavily hunt area during hunting season, please
remember to wear your orange.
