Geocache Description:

The cache is hidden somewhere near Bishopstone, East Sussex

There are a number of access points to the area with layby parking available. The cache was recently converted to a micro due to muggling of the previous box.

The Bishops of Chichester used to stay stay here until the 17th century. In 1324 King Edward II stayed with the Bishops at Bishopstone for a couple of days.

The church (St. Andrews) is part Saxon and part Norman and is where our two daughters were both christened. The hamlet of Bishopstone contains a number of old and interesting properties. It is sufficiently off the beaten track so as to retain it's quiet undeveloped character.

The area is well worth a wander while you are here. We hope you enjoy it..
