Park at N 42 14.257 W 072 16.844 which is in the parking lot of a
large department store chain's Supercenter on Rt 32 in Ware.
There are 2 other caches that you can grab while parked here. My
Yet ANOTHER Wally World Micro, and Dosido's
Ware's ground zero? Not here!
The trailhead is due West from here. The first part of the trail
takes you through some wetlands, where I've seen a variety of birds
and some waterfowl. when you come to the intersection of trails you
have to cross the beaver dam that has flooded the trail. I have yet
to find it impassible but if it is due to heavy rains or otherwise,
there is another way there behind the store. Just follow the
guardrail where you parked to the chain-link fence and there's
another trail there.
There are several nice areas along the way to enjoy the river.
The Mass. Central Railroad line runs along the opposite riverbank.
As you trek on, you will notice where the beavers have been doing
their logging. After that point the trail will head away from the
river and up a small hill. At that point you will have to find a
poorly worn footpath that you will want to take.
Cache is a 10"x3"x7" ammo box. FTF prize is my first geocoin
