During a long awaited loop up and down Mt. Lukens, I placed a few more caches to add to the possibilities.
Deukmejian Wilderness Park, which opened last year after extensive refurbishing, is the jumping off point for a great 10 mile loop up and back to the highest point in Los Angeles, Mt. Lukens.
Just a short way up the Crescenta View Trail, the path takes a sharp turn through a couple of Hoary-leaf Ceanothus specimens (thanks to mattmaxon for the identification). A log only M&M tube should be easily found without leaving the trail.
