Geocache Description:

This is #23 in the Series of Allegany County Caches, it is in the Town of Rushford. It is in the Rush Creek State Forest.

For some reason this was the favorite of my grandsons, ages 4 and 7. It might be the wide straight snowmobile trail that allowed them to run and still be in grandma's sight - or could it be the side trail down to the cache had almost as much water running down it as the nearby creek so they could splash all they wanted.

Depending on which gates are open, this could be a very long - but nice hike or a shorter one, good for children. At the end there are briars so be aware. Hey - it's a forest!

Off of Rush Creek Road - turn up Russell Forest Road where you will encounter the first gate. Up this road is a nice wide turn, where you can park safely and much closer to the cache.
