Geocache Description:

Park at the Bill McGuire Centre (bottom of Fox Farm Road, cross Rothesay Road and RR tracks -- Renforth Wharf area) and head past the Fitzgerald ball field. Both these landmarks were named in honour of men who were very active in this community and many of their descendants still live and work here. (For more information on the village of Renforth visit the Rothesay Living Museum webpage.)

Head into the woods over the little wooden bridge. Follow the path parallel to the railway tracks until you see a path leading to the right. Follow this path until you see a trail veering off to the left. The cache is found near the remains of what the local kids used to refer to as the Ghost House!

This land is owned by the Saint John Catholic Diocese and they very generously welcome people to come for walks in the area. It is very popular with dog walkers! There are some residences near the water that are off-limits to hikers.

The Girl Guides have learned a bit of local history with this cache and they are working on latitude/longtitude co-ordinates and their Collections badge. They helped stock the original cache.

Accurancy was 10 m on a cloudy day when this cache was hidden. In summer leaf cover may get in the way with signals.
