Rawlins Cut

This cache is located on an overlook where many photos of Rawlins, Wyoming have been taken since it has such a panoramic view of the town (if you have ever seen a postcard of Rawlins, the photo was probably taken from here. You can see both east and west from here and is very pretty, especially when the wind is not blowing. The cache is well hidden so please return it exactly as you found it as many people use this hill for testing out their four-wheelers and there may be muggles. To drive to within a couple hundred feet of this cache requires a four-wheel drive vehicle as the trails are steep and strewn with loose rocks. You can walk to the cache as it isn't far but the terrain is very steep and rocky. The cache contains a logbook and short pencil (it is a small cache) along with an assortment of collector pins. Be advised, this cache will not hold anything other than small items. Take your camera as you will have an excellent view of the Union Pacific yards and track, Rawlins, Interstate 80 as well as Elk Mountain in the distance to the east. There is a possibility of snakes in the area in the summertime so be alert.
