Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the above coordinates. It is a 30-calliber ammo can with some decent items for trading.

To find this cache, you first have to solve a puzzle. Don't worry, it's not really a chess puzzle, it just uses a chess board & a single chess piece - you could easily do this puzzle with an 8x8 grid & some pennies.

As you may or may not know, in chess, the Queen attacks in a straight line in any direction: vertically, horizontally, and diagonally. Your job is to place 8 queens on the board in such a manner that no queen can attack another queen. I've placed the first two queens in order to get you started. For your convenience, here is an Interactive Puzzle Board.

Using the numbered grid below, you'll see that each space on the board corresponds to a number. These numbers will help you figure out the cache location ("A" is the digit where the queen sits in the "A" column). With the puzzle setup right now, D = 8 and E = 1.

The cache is located at the following location:

N 29 AG.FAD W 095 CA.GBF

One more note: this puzzle has 92 solutions, but with the 2 queens placed where I have them setup, there's only one solution - don't move the two starting queens, or you'll get bad coordinates! Good luck!
