Arc Park Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Wee Willy: Only two visits in a year. One Find and one DNF. Not worth the gas and effort to drive out there to see if it's still there. Never was a very active cache, so I'm saying good by to it. If I'm in the area, I'll stop by and pick up my pod if it exists.

Geocache Description:

This small cache is located on the grounds of the Baseball complex of Arc Park but is not inside the fenced baseball fields.

Have been to this park several times this year looking for Bennet’s and mglory’s Bicycle Races, 16, Bourg d’Oisans-L’Alpe d’Huez. I didn’t log each of my visits as there was nothing new to say. My log for the first visit was:

January 20 - Spent about half an hour looking for this one, but no luck. I wanted to quit right away, but Hikeaday said "It had to be in there somewhere, just keep looking". I reminded him of the Bicycle Race in south Arlington that we couldn't find and that we payed (paid- which is it?) about one million visits to that site. He said "It didn't matter, we found those other two on our first visit, so quit griping and keep looking." So I did but I didn't smell or see anything resembling a 35mm film container. Came upon some other stuff though. After awhile I asked him if he remembered that big white arrow thing that was supposed to be a piece of cake. OK, he said and took some pictures and wants you to look at them and provide us with hints. Do the pictures show that we are close. Should he be able to see the cache from his standup position or does he have to get down to my level. He was today. He sure looked silly crawling around there on his hands and knees. Please email your reply so nobody else gets hints without asking. Thanks

Well, I guess Bennet doesn’t give out hints, but I’ve gone back again and again. I even brought Hikeaday’s granddaughter out there once, hoping she would spot it, but nope. Today I tried again but still couldn’t find it. So I decided that I’ll stick a cache in the same area so I’ll have something to check on when I visit this park, in the future, looking for Bicycle Races, 16, Bourg d’Oisans-L’Alpe d’Huez.
