this is a four-step cache located near the levee about .25 miles along the yuba city bike route (which begins at the east end of lynn way). the cache is a fishing tackle box filled with toys and secured by a combination padlock. at each stage you will be given one of the three numbers needed to open the vertical lock.
at stage 1 you will see a light pole on the N side of the bike route. about knee high on the pole is a four digit number. make a note of the fourth digit, as it is the middle number needed to open the padlock. proceed to N 39 08.924 W 121 36.610 where you will find the top padlock number and the coordinates to stage 3. at stage 3 you will be given the bottom padlock number and the coordinates of the cache. originally it was advisable to approach the cache from the E due to the thistles in the area. however, due to recent flooding (january 06) you must now approach the cache from the south. and, before putting the cache back, be sure to spin the dials a little to secure the padlock. i wish you lots of luck on this geocaching fishing expedition.
