I have been requested by the directors of SLT that if you could pick up any trash you find in the valley while searching for the cache, they would appreciate it very much.
Turn off of Highway 46 heading South on "Country Club Road" for about 4/10 mile. Park on the left (East) side of the road in the parking lot.
This is owned by Sycamore Land Trust.
"The Sycamore Land Trust is a regional non-profit organization whose purpose is the preservation
of open space in and around south-central Indiana communities. SLT strives to protect scenic
beauty, provide habitat for wildlife, and offer natural places for the benefit of present and
future generations.
Using strategies such as conservation easements, land donations and purchases, and estate
planning, we help families figure out ways to preserve their lands for the future. Since 1990,
we've preserved thousands of acres across south-central Indiana, land that will be protected
forever."
SLT opened this "Touch the Earth Nature Preserve" to the public in 2004. It consists of 2 trails
over 98 acres. They have a sign in station, and SLT requests that you sign in or more importantly
sign out and leave remarks. At the sign station, (see picture) they have loaner maps to use while visiting.
