Geocache Description:

The cache is a clear plastic container along the hiking trails in Gunpowder State Park where several other caches are currently hidden. Ample parking is available at the entrance on Route One. (Belair Rd)
There is a closer entrance. The hill leading into the park at that spot is paved, but very steep, so you may want to take the hike along the trail instead. It's much more relaxing and scenic.

This is the first cache that we have hidden since we began caching again. We hope you enjoy finding it as much as we enjoyed hiding it! We enjoy hiking in this area fall/winter. There are many beautiful views and there are many miles of trails along the river.

The trails in this section of the park are well maintained so all but the smallest children should enjoy this cache. The roundtrip hike is around 1 1/4 miles. You will need to cross a small stream or two, but you shouldn't get wet IF you choose the correct path! Refer to the cache name BEFORE starting your hike.
The cache is a couple of hundred feet off the main trail so reaching it may require some minor bushwhacking in the summer.
We included a Target gift card for the first to find.

Good luck!
