Geocache Description:

I’on Swamp Interpretive Trail, Francis Marion National Forest: off US #17 between Mount Pleasant and Awendaw.
From Charleston, travel north on US 17 for approximately 15 miles and turn left onto I’on Swamp Road (FS 228). Drive two miles to the parking area on the left. Trail is a 2mi loop. In summer bring bug spray.

This wonderful trail deserves another cache...or two. It is just so beautiful in the fall/winter/early spring when the skeeters are gone. I decided to put this 2nd cache out a little closer to the parking area for those who aren't interested in walking as far. But, hey, once you find this one, the other is NOT that far. My trusty companion, Blue, who came along was and always will be THE greatest treasure for me regarding this trail. I found him lost out here, hence the name of the cache.
