Geocache Description:

If you're not local to the area, you'll probably want to research a map to find your best route to get to this cache. There are mutiple routes to get the Flannagan Dam area coming from many different directions. I suggest the Cumberland Mountain View Drive that starts near the Breaks Park or Clintwood area.

If the gate to this are is closed, parking can be found at N37 13.950 W082 20.825 Before the Flannagan dam was built, there was a house that sat here overlooking the Russell Fork river. Now it's a nice little park complete with picnic shelters and some play equipment.

This cache is named after my great uncle Doug who is pretty good shot with about any gun. He used to shoot walnuts off of trees with a pistol at 50 yards and the head off of a match at 100.

Cache is a 9x7x3 clear sterlite container with blue lid. Original contents: Logbook w/ pencil, Play-Doh keychain, silly putty, glow stick, few little critters.

Cumberland Mountain Scenic Drive Cache Run

This cache is part of the Cumberland Mountain Scenic Drive Cache Run. The run starts with some caches on the Clintwood side before actually getting on the Cumberland Mountain Scenic Drive. Reverse if coming from the Bartlick/Haysi direction. This is an all day and maybe then some cache adventure so plan ahead and give yourself time if you really want to hit it hard!
