Very pushchair friendly and easy to park, with a large car park within 50-100 yards of the cache.
This is a regular cache placed by Neptune’s staircase ( a series of nine locks) on the Caledonian canal.
The canal was opened in 1847 and connects Loch Ness in the North to Loch Linnhe in the South and provides a safe inland route from Moray Firth to the Firth of Lorne.
This cache is but a short drive from Fort William and should be fairly easy to find. After seeking the cache you may want to explore the locks and see what an impressive engineering feat this was.
