Geocache Description:

Slaughter Beach

Every spring the small bay side community of Slaughter Beach is invaded by prehistoric creatures that come riding in on the high tide. At times this invasion can look like scenes from a Sci-fi movie. These ancient mariners are called "Horseshoe Crabs" and date back millions of years. They return to the Delaware Bay every year to spawn. It is said that because of the large number of crabs that are washed up on the sand and die is how the town of Slaughter Beach got it's name. Help your self to any empty crab shells, I'm sure the residents won't mind.
There are several public access points to the beach. This small cache is located at one of those points and is in plain sight. It contains only a log sheet and pencil.
Please rehide exactly as found.
