In ancient times, hundreds of years before the dawn of history, lived an ancient race of people: the Druids. No one knows who they were, or what they were doing, but their legacy remains, hewn into the living rock of Stonehenge.

Stonehenge
Where the demons dwell
Where the banshees live
And they do live well

Stonehenge
Where a man is a man
And the children dance to the pipes of Pan

Stonehenge
'Tis a magic place
Where the moon doth rise with a dragon's face

Stonehenge
Where the virgins lie
And the prayers of devils fill the midnight sky

And you, my love, won't you take my hand
We'll go back in time to that mystic land
Where the dew drops cry and the cats meow
I will take you there
I will show you how

And, oh, how they danced, the little children of Stonehenge, beneath the haunted moon, for fear that daybreak might come too soon.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Carkeek Park in Seattle, Washington. It is dedicated exclusively to fans of one of my all-time-favorite comedies, "This Is Spinal Tap." The coordinates listed above are at the start of the South Ridge Trail.

Unless you're a fellow devotee of "England's Loudest Band," then you would be well advised to follow the warning of Nigel Tufnel: "The authorities said best leave it unsolved, really." Even if you're a fellow Tapster, you will likely need to indulge yourself in an encore showing of the movie. Load yourself up with some "miniature bread" and laugh heartily at the comedic brilliance of Marty DiBergi (Rob Reiner), Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest), David St. Hubbins (Micheal McKean), and Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer).

"We're not university material." No matter. Take note as you watch the film:
In what year did Marty DiBergi see Spinal Tap at the Electric Banana in Greenwich Village?
_ _ _ _ = ABCD

According to Marty DiBergi, after 17 years, how many albums had Spinal Tap released?
_ _ = EF

Nigel Tufnel accidentally indicated the height of the Stonehenge scenery in inches instead of feet. What numeral did he write on the napkin for the height?
_ _ = GH

At what military time is the band supposed to start playing at the Air Force Base gig?
_ _ _ _ = IJKL

According to David St. Hubbins, how many people have been in Spinal Tap over the years?
_ _ = MN

To calculate the final cache location, complete the following subtraction problems:
O = B - C
P = H - G
Q = J - D

The cache is located at N 47 42.FMP, W 122 22.IOQ.

As you solve the equations to discover the cache coordinates, I hope you won't feel like Nigel: "It's a complete catastrophe...it's a joke. It does disturb me." The math really isn't too difficult, and you will persevere just as Nigel does: "It's not going to affect my performance. I'll rise above it. I'm a professional."

"How much more black could this be? And the answer is: None. None more black." The cache you are seeking is a none-more-black waterproof container filled with a variety of small items for fellow Tap fans. Please take something when you visit the Tapster cache. Also, there is no need for bushwacking: you can easily reach the cache while remaining on the trail.

As David St. Hubbins notes, "It's such a fine line between stupid and clever." That sounds very much like the same line that separates the moments just prior to and just after discovering a cache. When you find the cache, you might exclaim, in true Tap form:

"People should be envying us."
"I envy us."
"Me, too."

Please include your favorite quotation from the movie in your online log entry.

Incidentally, this is cache placement #11 for me. Coincidence? No.
