Emmett’s Effort
This cache is located on the grounds of an organization founded
by a gentleman named Emmett. Due to his initiative and effort, this
organization outgrew the garage that was its original location and
now occupies a very nice facility. Although Emmett died in 1995,
the benefits of his effort continue. If you’d like to help
keep Emmett’s vision alive, plan to bring a can or two of
food along with you when you do this cache. There is no obligation
to do so, however – the cache is available to any and all and
is not located in or on the building.
There is a nice, big parking lot for your cachemobile here and
the cache is available at any time. During business hours (M-F
8-5), there will be other vehicles coming and going, but
don’t worry. All the employees are aware of this cache and
are hoping to spot you looking for it. J You are looking for a camo-painted 30-cal.
ammo box with the usual assortment of trinkets. As you leave the
paved surface, please be aware of some uneven ground and a few
thorns in the area. The immediate area is not mowed, so long pants
during the growing seasons is advised. No poison anything was
observed when the cache was placed. Please replace the camouflage
when you are done
If you decided to join Emmett in his effort, just come on in if
you’re here during business hours (M-F 8-5). Tell the folks
you’re a geocacher – they know to expect some and are
kind of excited about the whole thing. If you arrive after hours,
feel free to make use of the drop box near the front door. Emmett
thanks you and we thank you!
Happy
Caching!
