Geocache Description:

This cache is a standard camo painted decon container, hidden in Culver City.

Culver City is the home to several movie studios including Desilu Productions and MGM.

Near this site in 1927 the set for Cecil B. DeMilles' epic "King of Kings" was built. The set was then used as the gates for the 1933 classic "King Kong" and was destroyed when used as the burning city of Atlanta in "Gone With The Wind".

The area is (regrettably) now an industrial park with steady traffic during business hours. Please be stealthy. On the plus side, if you're lucky you'll be able to park right next to the cache.

The original contents of this cache:

  • The "Movie Buff" Travel Bug
  • A 1979 Eisenhower Dollar
  • An Oregonian Picture Stone
  • 5 California Lottery Scratchers
  • 2 silver Poof-Critters
  • Log and pen
  • Assorted other goodies
