Geocache Description:

This cache should be relatively easy, but with a twist I haven't seen for a cache in this area. The cache is a clear quart size rectangular rubbermaid container with a blue rim.

This is the town I grew up in and have been missing the past 15 years since my need to move. On this recent visit I decided to leave a cache behind in honor of someone that did a lot for the children and town of Latrobe. The coordinates take you to a memorial for this gentleman where he was honored for his work and dedication. The marker is a brick about 10"X10" and east of the flagpole.Once you have found the block use the following formulas to find the cache. Go (# of letters on the block times 10 + the distance for the center field home run - 20) feet in the heading of (# of letters on the block + 3) times 10, degrees. For full credit email me the name of this person and any story you might have regarding him. Have fun with this cache, if it goes well, I'll plant some more. It looks like the cachers in Latrobe need some more items to find.Initial contents are a child's baseball glove, baseball, and 3 packages of baseball cards along with a logbook and pen/pencil.

This cache is being maintained by local family members that have an interest in the cache. They live within a few minutes of the site. Any problems or questions with the cache, email me through this site and it will be taken care of promptly. These people are now known as the 'CareTakers'.
