Geocache Description:

This cache is located at the top of the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway along the Long Valley Discovery Trail.

You are looking for a camouflaged decon container. This cache is at the base of the switchbacks going from the tram station to the start of the Long Valley Discovery Trail. Getting a decent GPS reading at this location was near to impossible, but two of us got almost the same coords. The cache is located within reaching distance of the path.

If you decide to ride the tram up, the costs are $21.00 for Adults, $14.00 for Children 3-12. Cars depart at least every half hour from 10 a.m., Monday-Friday; 8 a.m. weekends and holiday periods. Last car up is 8 p.m. with the last car down at 9:45 p.m. You may elect to hike in from Idyllwild, in which case the terrain would be rated 3.
