Thirsty? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

stbk: I'm not really interested in bringing back such a lame cache. I may put another one in the area, but it's time for this one to go.

Geocache Description:

Fairly easy find in a little "park".

Feeling thirsty? Does this pond look like something you'd drink from? Well, this is actually drinking water. This is one of several percolation ponds operated by the Santa Clara Valley Water District. The water in the pond slowly filters down into underground aquifers far below. Later on, it's pumped back out, treated, and sent out to our homes.

Anyway, this little pond is surrounded by a nice little walking trail, benches, and some nice bike jumps on the east side. On July 4th, it's a great place to watch the Cupertino fireworks over at De Anza college, at least during those years when the fireworks are there.

This was my first cache, and like a complete newbie, I hid it in ivy. Sorry about that.
