vogn.
opleve nogle smukke

Andersen, medens
han boede på det nærliggende Holsteinsborg. Dette kan der læses
mere om på følgende link: [Vænø og
Glænø]

Glænø
Glænø is
located about 13 km southeast of Skælskør, and is connected to the
mainland via an embankment constructed in 1881. Before that time
flat-bottomed barges sailed between the island and Zealand, that is
if one didn't choose to pass the ford using horses and
carriages.
Having
passed the embankment, the house of the old ferryman can be seen on
your right hand side. Just before the house, you will find a couple
of signs from The Danish Forest and Nature Agency informing about
the rules for you stay in the nature reserve and bird sanctuary
around Glænø.
From the
north side of Glænø, one has a nice view towards Ormø, which is
populated with one of Europe largest colonies of the cormorant.
During your stay on the island, you will experience a landscape
dominated by hills and step cliffs along the coast line.
It is possible to have a swim from the beach, as well as anglers
might be in luck catching a fish for the lunch. On the dry land you
can experience some very beautiful hikes.
While Hans Christian Andersen stayed at the nearby Holsteinsborg,
Glænø was one of the most popular resorts whenever he wanted some
peace and quiet. You can read more about this following this link:
