Geocache Description:

This is a two step cache located on the Mt. Ester trail system in the Pikes Peak Nat’l Forest. Allow 2-3 hours for this hike – it’s well worth it.*** Great views of Colorado Springs, Ute Pass, and Pikes Peak.

The name of this cache should help you to find the best place to park. From there look for the green colored trail markers, which indicate the way. At the first step you are looking for a clear 35mm film canister. It contains the coordinates to the second step. Free hint: It will not be in typically plain sight.*If you have a camera with you, I have a request. Near the first step, there is a figure carved into a stump: N 38 54.932 W 105 00.524. Just for fun take a picture with it and post it on the website. The actual cache container is your typical green ammo box containing a whole bunch of goodies: an Infopedia CD rom, T-shirt, mini-fan, small carabineers, etc… and of course the logbook and pen.*** In my attempt to make geocaching enjoyable for everybody, if you have a physical impairment that keeps you from making a 2-3 hr hike, please email me with your story and I’ll send you the final coordinates.
