Geocache Description:

The coordinates above will lead you to a monument in honor of Fort Jennings, which in turn contains the clues to answer the questions in order to claim this Find!

The original Fort Jennings was established during the War of 1812 by the Kentucky Militia commanded by Lt. Colonel William Jennings as part of a string of garrisons along the Auglaize River. These include Fort Defiance, Fort Brown, Fort Recovery, and Fort Amanda. Some thought Jennings was arrogant and vain, others described him as daring and reckless. We think he was a gamer, willing to take risks and make daring plans for success. He helped secure the Northwest Territories and kept the supplies running along the river. So this is a Gamer’s cache containing all kinds of games that we enjoy playing, as a tribute to Colonel Jennings. Card games, board games, Role-playing games, and Magic the Gathering, you name it and we play it. A successful Gamer must be daring and willing to stand behind his strategy. We have stocked the cache with various gaming supplies and hope others will keep to the theme, if possible. At one time this was a multi-cache leading to a large container, but due to vandals and miscreants, we have changed it to a virtual . Please e-mail me the answers to the following questions:1) When did Captain McHenry of the Ohio Militia take over the Fort?2) What year did the village of Fort Jennings began its memorial project?
