This cache is located near a bridge built in 1927 that leads to nowhere! DON'T make this difficult on yourself. No climbing required and only minimal exercise on a level surface.
Just off Hwy 176 between Hendersonville and Saluda.
The cache is less than .13 mile from the parking area on a paved level bridge.
The cache is well hidden in plain view of anyone enjoying the sites from the bridge. There are no obstructions to the satellites and the coordinates should place you within a few feet of the cache. This is a paperless micro cache with a coin theme.
We placed new quarters (southern, of course) and a couple of foreign coins to start the coin exchange. We have had a lot of problems with water in the High Bridge Cache and have started a new paperless cache. This one should be waterproof but if not, a little water shouldn’t hurt. To gain credit for your find you will need to email us at rsimpson130@mchsi.com with a description of the container. Do not log your answer in your log report.
In the spring and summer the grass on the cache side of the bridge will get very high but you WILL NOT have to enter the grassy area or leave the bridge at any time to locate the cache. Please try not to be too obvious in your search.
The sites of the bridge from below are awesome but will require a scramble.
